A Sensitive Education 2017 – 2019
During the almost three years of the project, Francesca Todde visited Tristan Plot several times. As a bird educator, he prepares birds to participate in theatre and dance performances or documentary films. Tristan’s approach is based on an understanding of the sensitivity of birds, which is more extensive than ours. The position of the body, the intensity of the gaze or the intentions that drive us are of great importance to birds. The title of the project, A Sensitive Education, refers to the need to educate her own sensibilities in order to tell this story.
‘Tristan allowed me to come into contact with living beings that would otherwise have been afraid of me. Through a slow approach, respecting the rhythm of the other, I was able to immerse myself in their world of small and subtle events.’ (Francesca Todde)
